Birthday Basket

This little basket was made using this week's tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers.  Instead of decorating the base box with patterned paper, I used a heavy-weight patterned paper for the box...so that took out an extra step.  For the eyelet border, I used a 1x12 piece of card stock and wrapped it around two sides and the front.  You'll need to trim off some excess.  I finished the back off with another piece measuring 1x4-3/4.

The greeting was made with the "Framed with Love" stamp set...which I've had for months and have NEVER used.  Shocking, isn't it?  Although I'm willing to bet 99% of you stampers out there have some stamp sets you've never used.  So, my challenge to you is to go pick one of those sets out and stamp something!

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Framed with Love
Vintage Labels (Happy Birthday)

Paper:
Parisian Breeze DSP (Retired...but you could also use "To the Nines" specialty paper because it's also heavy weight)
     4-3/4x7-3/4 Basket Base
     7/8x11 Handle
Chocolate Chip Card Stock
1x12 and 1x4-3/4 Eyelet Trim Border
     1x11 Handle
Whisper White CS for the Greeting
Baja Breeze (Retired) for the Scallop Oval behind the Greeting

Ink:
Baja Breeze Classic Stamp Pad (Retired)
Chocolate Chip Classic Stamp Pad

Accessories:
White Taffeta Ribbon
Eyelet Border Punch
Scallop Oval Punch
Silver Brads
Stamp-A-Ma-Jig
Stampin' Dimensionals

Have a great weekend!
Beth
