Cheerful Gift Card Holder


I discovered this gift card holder idea over at Dawn Griffith's blog.  You can view her awesome video tutorial here

The main ingredients are the gift card holder itself (Real Red piece) which measures 4-1/2x7-3/4 and is scored at 3/4 and 4-1/4.  The scalloped sleeve (Tempting Turquoise piece) measures
3-1/4x9-3/4 and is scored at 2 and at 6-5/8.

The inside looks like this:


I slid my 1-3/4 circle punch in as far as I could to make the window.  The image is stamped on Whisper White and then punched out with a 1-1/2 circle punch.  It's layered on a 1-3/4 circle of Crushed Curry.  I watercolored the image using my stamp pads (squeezed them to get the ink on the inside of the lid and used that as my palette).  I don't have a Crushed Curry pad, so I made a few marks with my Crushed Curry marker on the inside of my Real Red pad and it worked great as my palette for that color.
