Faux Tile

Today is another one of those busy days...it's Technique Tuesday class day!  If we all make it through these classes with no major mishaps, we can make it through anything.  We'll be embossing, using bleach and using glitter.  Yikes!

This is one of the cards the ladies will make and it uses the Faux Tile technique.  For the "tile" image, you score at equal intervals, stamp and then emboss the entire image with Versamark ink and clear embossing powder.  The main thing to remember is to score first and stamp second.  The grid marks should not have ink in them (or very little) to get the tile effect.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Vintage Vogue

Paper:
More Mustard 5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
Chocolate Chip
     5-1/4x3 for Scallop Trim Layer
     2x2-1/4 for "Friends" Layer
Naturals Ivory
     5x2-1/2 for Tile Layer
     1-3/4x2 for "Friends" Image
     Scrap for Flower Circle

Ink:
Not Quite Navy Classic Stamp Pad
More Mustard Classic Stamp Pad
Chocolate Chip Classic Stamp Pad
Versamark

Accessories:
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat Tool
Scoring Tool
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
Vintage Brads
1" Circle Punch
Scallop Trim Border Punch
Stampin' Dimensionals

Posting may be a little sporadic this week....hubby is taking some time off and we are working on projects around the house.  Hopefully I'll be able to work in some stamping time.

Also, I just want to say "thank you" to everyone who follows my blog.  It's a nice confidence boost to have people interested in my projects.

Have a wonderful day!
Beth
