Fold-Up Basket

A friend of mine asked for an Easter gift idea, so I went searching through my files for something I thought she might like. I came across the instructions for this basket.  I had made some a few years ago using a template from the Stampin' Up! website but had forgotten about it. I know I'm always saying this about projects...but it really is quick and easy.  I don't like to make anything that isn't!!!

I've re-drawn the template which you can find here.  My basket started with a 5-1/4" square piece of Tea Party patterned paper.  Score the paper at 1-3/4" and 3-1/2".  Flip and score the same measurements again.  You'll cut four slits (see template) and then partially fold up 2 sections on each side...like you're going to make a square box, but stop before you get the top aligned.  Hope that makes sense.

You could probably make any size basket as long as you start with a square and then score it to have 3 equal parts in each direction.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
A Good Egg (Inked up each word individually and used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to align it.)

Paper:
Tea Party DSP
     5-1/4x5-1/4 Basket
     1/2x7 Handle
     Scraps for Flowers
Scrap of Whisper White for Tag
Scrap of Pretty in Pink for Tag

Ink:
Basic Gray Classic Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Tag Punch
Small Tag Punch
Boho Blossoms Punch
Silver Eyelet
Silver Brad
Soft Subtles Buttons
1/4" Circle Punch
SU! Perfect Details Texturz Plate (for the white tag)
White DMC Floss

Hope you have a great Monday!
