I'm Back....

Ben is doing well recovering from his hip surgery.  He is such a brave young man and a very good patient.  The recovery is not going to be quick or easy, but I'm sure he'll be able to conquer this like he has everything else.  We would like to express our appreciation to all of our friends and family who have prayed for him (and us) over the past couple of weeks.  Your continued prayers are greatly appreciated.

Back to stamping.....I received my demo copy of the new Idea Book & Catalog last week, and I LOVE it!  The color combinations and samples are gorgeous.  Plus, there's plenty of beautiful new stamp sets, accessories, paper, etc.  You're going to love it, too.  Catalogs will be shipped to demonstrators at the end of June, and it should also be online on July 1st.

This is a card I made for my nephew who turns 21 at the end of the month (I feel OLD).  I've used some of the new colors...all of which are great!  I can tell Early Espresso and Cherry Cobbler are going to be some new favorites.  They're both very deep and rich colors.

The blue layer is actually a piece of striped DSP from the current Level 1 Hostess pack.  I ran it through the Big Shot using my Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  The result reminds me of denim.

Here's what I used:

Headline Numbers (Retired - I need some Sizzix numbers!)

Itty Bitty Backrounds (Retiring - Get it before it's gone!)
A Little Birthday Cheer (Also Retiring)

Cherry Cobbler Classic Stamp Pad (NEW!)

Hemp Twine
Linen Thread
Glue Dots
Stampin' Dimensionals
SU! Square Lattice Embossing Folder (Mini & New Cattie)

Take care,
