Blast of Color!

We've had a pretty "soft" week going with pinks, so I thought I would end the week with a blast of color.  This card is a revised "case" of a card in the new catalog.  I changed some of the colors, the stamp, and added some ribbon.

I wish I could give you really good measurements for those scallops, but I got there by trial and error...and trimming the sides and top when I was finished.  I did find out that it's better to have large scalloped layers behind the main image (not just scallop strips) because the strips make it bulky at the bottom.  Hopefully, some basic measurements will help get you started.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Friends Never Fade
Occasional Quotes

Paper:
Poppy Parade
     5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
     2-1/4x2-3/8 (approx.) Scallop
Pear Pizzazz
     3x3 Square Layer
     2-1/4x2-5/8 (approx.) Scallop
Concord Crush
     2-1/4x2-1/2 (approx.) Scallop
Whisper White
     2-1/4x2 Main Image
Early Espresso
     2-3/8x2-1/2 Layer

Ink:
Concord Crush Marker
Poppy Parade Marker
Pear Pizzazz Marker
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Texture Plates Kit #4
Scallop Edge Border Punch
Linen Thread
Poppy Parade Poly-Stitch Ribbon
Crop-A-Dile
Stampin' Dimensionals

Have a great weekend!  Thanks for stopping by.
