Happy Independence Day!

It's hard to believe that the Fourth of July is only a few days away!  Although here in the South, it feels like it's been July for a month now (90+ degrees for weeks).
This idea for a card kept rolling around in my head, so I finally got busy and made it.  I don't have a patriotic stamp set.  Instead I used my favorite tools....dies and punches.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
None!

Paper:
Night of Navy
     5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
     Scrap for Scallop and Star
Real Red
     5-1/2x1 Strips (3)
Whisper White
     5-1/2x4-1/4 Base for Stripes
     5-1/2x3/4 Strips (2)
     Scrap for Circle

Ink:
None!

Accessories:
SU! Top Note Bigz Die
SU! Square Lattice Embossing Folder
SU! Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch
Large Star Punch
Star Punch
1-3/4" Circle Punch
White Satin Ribbon
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
Silver Brads
Stampin' Dimensionals

For the striped layer, I glued my strips of card stock to a white card stock base (5-1/2x4-1/4).  Let the glue dry!  Next, I placed it face down on my Top Note Die and ran it through the Big Shot.  Finally, run the card stock back through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice EF.

Hope you have a safe and happy holiday!

God Bless America!

  2. Beth, A friend from church recently showed me a Stampin' Up catalog. I looked at it at thought, "I don't know this language." lol!
But I'm starting to...by looking at all your adorable cards!
    Love the scalloped circle punch.
    Very, Very Cute!
