Look who else is back....

....the cute little bird.  Mama requested cards made with the bird and the owl, so that's what she got.  Only thing is, I'm not sure how or why I came up with this color combo.  Guess I was trying to do something a little different.  I used Not Quite Navy DSP, but I think Pacific Point would look much better (I just don't have any yet).  The ribbon is some of my precious retired In Color ribbon - glad I hung onto it!

The Pinking Hearts Border Punch always leaves behind this perfectly straight little strip of paper.  I always hate throwing them away.  (If I hang onto them...they'll sit in a drawer and never get used.)  So, I decided to incorporate it into this card.  It's the piece at the bottom of the polk dots; that's the print on the reverse side.  I could never cut a piece that slim and keep it straight.

Here's everything I used:

Cheep Talk

Wild Wasabi
     4-1/4x8-1/2 Card Base
Daffodil Delight
     4x4 Layer
     Scrap for Flower
Regals Paper Stack (Not Quite Navy)
     4x1-1/2 Punched Layer
Whisper White
4-1/4x5-1/2 for Top Note (I cut each Top Note in half to make 2 cards)
     Scrap for Bird

Wild Wasabi Marker
Early Espresso Marker
Riding Hood Red Stamp Pad
Not Quite Navy Stamp Pad

SU! Top Note Bigz Die
Striped Riding Hood Red Ribbon (Retired)
Pinking Hearts Border Punch
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Sizzix Texture Plates Kit #4
SU! Basic Rhinestones
Glue Dots
Stampin' Dimensionals

Have a great day!
