Scallop Envelope Treat Holder

I've got another really easy treat holder for you today.  I found this idea over at Chic 'n Scratch.  You simply cut out two envelopes with the Scallop Envelope Biz Die, trim a little off of the bottom flaps and adhere the two together (follow the link and take a look at Angie's video).  Be sure to punch out your handle before assembling (I forgot....).  I'm sure the box will hold something chocolate, but I had some Smarties on hand and 4 fit perfectly inside.  I can see this being a really cute box to use at Halloween.  (Note:  I cheated a little with my ribbon.  I didn't tie it around the handle.  I tied a knot, trimmed the ends and adhered it with mini glue dots.  That way, I made sure I didn't wrinkle or tear the paper.)

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Cute by the Inch (New Level 2 Hostess Set)

Paper:
Shades of Spring DSP (Was in the Occasions Mini Catalog...can't wait to get some new paper!)
     4-1/2x5-1/2 for Die Cutting
So Saffron
     Scrap for Scallop Square
Whisper White
     Scrap for Main Image

Ink:
Black Stazon
Regal Rose Stamp Pad
Certainly Celery Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Scallop Envelope Bigz Die
Scallop Square Punch
1" Square Punch (non-SU! However, I probably could have trimmed it with scissors faster than punching it.  I couldn't get it lined up "exactly" right the first THREE tries.)
3/4" Circle Punch
Word Window Punch
Soft Subtle Brad
Certainly Celery 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
Mini Glue Dots
Stampin' Dimensionals

Hope you had a great holiday weekend.  Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Makes you wish you had little guys at home! Too bad teenagers don't use treat bags these days!
Ok, I need to know how you did your name on the picture!
