Baby Cards - Part 1



I rarely make baby cards.  That phase of my life and my friends' lives have passed by (although some are getting close to grandchildren!).  Someone recently asked me to make cards for a relative expecting twins.  I don't even own a "baby" stamp set, so I needed to use what I have and not buy anything new.  I found this great card and tutorial by LeeAnn Greff and proceeded to "case" away!

I constructed my rattle a little bit differently.  I embossed polka-dots on some Marina Mist card stock using the Dot-Dot-Dot stamp and white embossing powder.  Then, I punched out a 1" circle followed by the Scallop Circle Punch around the hole.  For the back of the rattle, I punched a 1-1/4" circle and then the Scallop Circle. (That way, I didn't have to make sure the holes lined up.  I think you'll see what I mean when you actually make it.)
