Fall Fever!

It was an unbelievably beautiful weekend here in North Carolina.  We had low humidity, cooler temperatures and bright sunny days.  It really put me in the mood for Fall, which is my favorite time of year.  The result of my "Fall Fever" is this card.

I started out with the "A Flower for All Seasons" stamp set.  This is such a great stamp set for those of us still working on our watercoloring skills.  The trick to coloring in these small images is to use a very, very thin brush, Stazon ink and watercolor paper.

The frame was made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  I first saw it at Me, My Stamps & I.  (Note:  She has music playing on her blog....so beware if you don't want others around you to hear it.)  I love Chat's blog and all of her creations.  Back to the frame...start with a piece of card stock measuring 3x3 inches.  Center the border punch on each side and punch once.  You can do this with any border punch, but I like the way this one looks the best.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
A Flower for All Seasons
Short & Sweet

Paper:
Chocolate Chip
     8-1/2x5-1/2 Card Base
Cajun Craze
4x5-3/8 (cut down to 5-1/4 after embossing)
More Mustard
     Scraps for Flowers and Greeting
Always Artichoke
     3x3 for Frame
     Scrap for Oval
Watercolor Paper
     1-3/4x1-3/4 Main Image

Ink:
I used the lids of these stamp pads for my watercoloring palette:
     Cajun Craze Stamp Pad
     Always Artichoke Stamp Pad
     More Mustard Stamp Pad
     Crumb Cake Stamp Pad
     Chocolate Chip Stamp Pad
I colored the bug in with my Cherry Cobbler Marker.
Stamp the greeting with the Chocolate Chip Stamp Pad.

Accessories:
SU! Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Vintage Brads
Small Oval Punch
Oval Punch
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
1/4" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired)
Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Labor Day!
Beth
