Happy Birthday, Mama!

This is the card I made for my mama's birthday which is this Sunday.  We can't be with her this weekend, but fortunately our entire family was together for Thanksgiving, so we celebrated then.  We couldn't ask for a better mama!

On to the card...the bird's eye is actually a painted basic pearl.  Dawn Griffith has a great tutorial, and it's really a very easy technique.  The bird is heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Punch Potpourri
Curly Cute

Paper:
Blushing Bride
     5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
     Scrap for Circle and Bird
Soft Suede
     5x3-3/4 Large Layer
     Scrap for Scallop
Blushing Bride DSP (Level 1 Hostess DSP Pack)
     4-3/4x3-1/2 Large Layer

Ink:
Versamark
Soft Suede Stamp Pad
Blushing Bride Ink Refill

Accessories:
SU! Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder
Circles #2 Die
Two-Step Bird XL Punch
2-3/8 Scallop Circle XL Punch
Basic Pearls
Clear Embossing Powder (Pearl)
White Embossing Powder (Bird)
Heat Tool & Embossing Buddy
Stampin' Dimensionals
Whisper White Organza Ribbon

Have a great weekend!
Beth
