Tangerine Tango Color Coach Combination

So, first of all, what is a "Color Coach" you ask?  It's a handy tool from Stampin' Up! that offers color combination suggestions for all of the Stampin' Up! colors.  I have to admit that I haven't used it that often, but to try and think outside of the box, I'm going to challenge myself to create with Color Coach combinations from time to time.  I'll be categorizing these under "Color Coach" on the right sidebar.  Wonder if I can make it through ALL of the combinations?

I knew I wanted to use Tangerine Tango since I haven't in a while.  I decided to go with the "Creative Combination" listed on back of the card which is Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango.

I had to throw in some Soft Suede (okay, I'm cheating a little) to tone it down for me, and I wanted my lattice to be brown anyway.  I stamped it with the Woodgrain background stamp using Early Espresso. I lightly sponged the edges of my petals with Tangerine Tango.

Here's everything I used:

Build A Blossom

Soft Suede
     4-1/4x8-1/2 Card Base
     4x4 Piece for the Lattice
Tangerine Tango
3-7/8x3-3-3/4 Finished Size (Start with a larger piece and cut it down after embossing)
     Scraps for Petals
Tempting Turquoise
     3-3/8x3-1/4 Large Layer
Old Olive
     3-7/8x1/4 Strip at Top
     3-7/8x1 Scallop Strip
     Scraps for Leaves

Tangerine Tango Stamp Pad
Old Olive Stamp Pad
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

SU! Square Lattice Embossing Folder
SU! Lattice Bigz Die
Scallop Border Punch
Blossoms Petal Punch
Brights Buttons
Linen Thread
Stampin' Dimensionals
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack

Happy stamping!

  1. Okay, this is too cute! I tend to see fabric in paper and there's a fabric I love that is really close to this color combination and look! Beautiful, Beth!
