Happy Birthday, Ben!

It was a really busy week last week.  Our sweet son, Ben, turned 14!  I'm so proud of him.  He has such a sweet spirit (most of the time...LOL) even though he has been through much more in 14 years than I have in my entire life.  He is just an awesome son!

We really had a good time celebrating for the past several days, and he's sad that his birthday is over.  He loves "countdown" calendars, so I had made one for his birthday.  Now he's ready for one for Christmas...but I'll hold him off on that one until Thanksgiving!

It's been a looooong time since we needed a first birthday card for Ben, and I wasn't even stamping back then.  However, a customer of mine needed some for her twin nephews.  This is one of the cards.  The other card was laid out exactly the same, but I used some different patterned paper from the same pack of "Big Top Birthday" DSP.

Here's a look at the sparkly cupcake.  Whoever invented glitter was a genius!

The best part about the glitter on this card is that it won't rub off on everything.  The candle flame and number "1" were both made with "glimmer" paper...wonderful product...and the cupcake is heat embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

Sorry I don't have measurements for you.  I took these pictures a few weeks ago and now I don't have the actual cards.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
Create a Cupcake

Paper:
Real Red Card Stock
Tempting Turquoise Card Stock
Whisper White Card Stock
Big Top Birthday DSP
Silver Glimmer Paper (Holiday Mini)

Ink:
Tempting Turquoise Stamp Pad
Versamark Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die
Cupcake Builder Punch
Star Punch (Retired...bring it back SU, please)
1" Circle Punch
Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder
Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy
Alphabet Sizzlit (Old one that I already had...it's not SU)
Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great week next week!
