Quick & Easy Masculine Card

This is the birthday card I made for my brother-in-law...poor thing's birthday is on Christmas Eve.  I let the paper do all the work for this card.  It's from the Well Worn collection and it has a lot of character all by itself.  Just a few other touches, lots of sponging and you have (hopefully) a nice masculine card.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Happiest Birthday Wishes

Paper:
Early Espresso CS
     5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
5-1/2x1/2 Crimped Strip (cut down to size after crimping)
Not Quite Navy CS
     5-1/4x4 Large Layer
     Scrap for Layer Behind Greeting
Naturals Ivory CS
     Scrap for Greeting
Well Worn DSP
     5x1-1/2 Strip
     5x2-1/4 Strip

Ink:
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Crimper
Linen Thread
1-3/8" Circle Punch
1-3/4" Circle Punch
Sponges
Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This card is gorgeous! (I know that's probably not the best adjective for a masculine card, but it is!) Love the colors and the distressing and the twine.
