Herringbone Technique

I wanted to make a special card for a stamping friend using the new Summer Smooches DSP.  I really like the DSP, but the colors and patterns are very bright.  A little goes a long way.  I thought it would be the perfect paper to use for the Herringbone Technique.  If you haven't tried it, it's really easy and the results look great.  Julie Davison has a great tutorial on her blog.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Curly Cute
Bright Blossoms (Sneak Peek Item!)

Paper:
Rich Razzleberry CS
     8-1/2x5-1/2 Card Base
Lucky Limeade CS
     3-1/4x4-1/4 Layer
Whisper White CS
3x4 Base for the Herringbone Technique
Summer Smooches DSP (Sneak Peek Item!)
     Several Strips 3/8x12

Ink:
Rich Razzleberry Stamp Pad
Daffodil Delight Stamp Pad
Lucky Limeade Marker
Whisper White Craft Ink

Accessories:
White Embossing Powder
Embossing Buddy & Heat Tool
Silver Brads
Paper Piercer & Mat Pack
Flower from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack
Rhinestone
Labels Collection Framelit
Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon (Sneak Peek Item!)
Stampin Dimensionals
Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by!
