Always Something New to Learn

Don't you just love it when you discover how to fix a problem that's been bugging you for a while?  For me, this problem has been bugging me since I started stamping back in 2005....how to color stamps with light-colored markers and still get a nice image.  They always looked washed out no matter how many times I inked the stamp.

Today I decided to use some more of my retired card stock and ink...Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. To get a stronger color from these markers, I added some extra ink by dipping my markers in a couple of drops of re-inker.  It doesn't hurt the marker and the difference in the stamped image was very obvious.  I might just be coloring more stamps with markers from now on.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Just Believe
Well Scripted (Retired)

Paper:
Pear Pizzazz CS
     8-1/2x5-1/2 Card Base
Blushing Bride CS
4-1/4x5-1/2 Frame (I cut around the edges of the frame after embossing,
so the finished size is smaller)
Whisper White CS
     4-1/4x5-1/2 Top Note

Ink:
Blushing Bride Marker and Re-Inker
Pear Pizzazz Marker and Re-Inker
Basic Gray Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Top Note Bigz Die
Framed Tulips Embossing Folder
Twitterpated Buttons (Retired)
White Baker's Twine
Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by!
