Another Quick & Easy Card

This is actually a "hybrid" My Digital Studio 2 card.  I printed the patterned paper and the greeting/butterfly on my printer but then layered them with ribbon and card stock.
My Digital Studio 2 is a wonderful software program, and I'm slowly but surely going to start finding my way with it.  I don't scrapbook, so I want to use it for cards.  I'm learning how to deal with the fact that my printouts are not going to be an exact match to the card stock that I have.  However, it's very close (I have an Epson XP-800 printer).  I think my rule of thumb will be to not try to layer a large piece of printed DSP that is the same color as the card stock I'm using.  In other words, use coordinating colors and stay away from monochromatic cars.  Does that make sense?
Anyway, this is what I used:
Afternoon Tea Digital Kit (Embellishment-Butterfly)
Primrose Petals Card Stock
     4-1/4x11 Card Base
Basic Gray Card Stock
     3-7/8x5-1/8 Layer
     Scrap for Scalloped Oval
Whisper White Card Stock
4-1/4x5-1/2 for Greeting (I filled the sheet with the "Happy Birthday" greeting before I printed
so I would have more for later.)
Afternoon Tea Digital Kit (DSP)
3-3/4x5 Finished Size (I printed it on a 4-1/4x5-1/2 piece of Epson Matte Presentation Paper
and then cut it down to size.)
Large Oval Punch
Scalloped Oval Punch
Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon
Stampin' Dimensionals

Don't forget, My Digital Studio is 50% off through November 28th!  Also, be sure to check out  You'll find several training videos, a blog with really informative posts and lots of ideas from other digital crafters.
