Freshly Made Sketches #70 - FMS70


I usually don't post until Monday, but I just had to get this one posted today.  You see, I live in a house of boys (hubby, son and cat) who don't get very excited about stamping.  LOL

This is just one of those cards that I felt so good about when I finished and really wanted to share it with someone.  Believe me, I don't feel that way about all of the cards I post here. 

I started with the Freshly Made Sketches #70.   Here is the original sketch:

 
Their sketches are always just as described - "fresh."  It's a clean and simple design that you can kick up a notch with accessories.  Why don't you give it a try? 
 
Note:  To make the cross-stich piece, I cut a 1/4" piece of card stock.  I used my handy post-it notes to keep it in place inside the folder.  Also, to make the banner "wavy" use a pencil to curl it.  Then, place a dimensional beneath the part(s) you want to stay raised and apply a little glue to the part you want to stay down.
