A Little Variation

This is an example of how you can take a layout and change it up with colors and different images.  This card is a slight variation of the card in my last post.  It's going to be another card the ladies will have the option to make at my next card buffets.

You can't see it in the picture, but there is a Marina Mist butterfly under the stamped butterfly.  I just think having the solid base gives a more finished look.  To make the wings look like they're ready to flutter, I use dimensionals on the wings, but I add a little Tombow Multi glue to the center of the butterfly.  His body stays down, but his wings tip out.

Here's what I used:

Stamps:
Hello, Doily
Papillon Potpourri
Teeny Tiny Wishes
Itty Bitties (Spring Catalog)

Paper:
So Saffron Card Stock
     4-1/4x11 Card Base
Marina Mist Card Stock
     3-3/4x5 Large Layer
Scrap for Bottom Layer of Butterfly
Whisper White Card Stock
     3-1/2x4-3/4 Large Layer
     Scrap for Butterfly

Ink:
Marina Mist Stamp Pad
So Saffron Stamp Pad
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Elegant Butterfly Punch
Rhinestones
Stampin' Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
