Blooming with Kindness in Blue

Yes, I seem to be on a blue kick these days.  (I'll forewarn next post will be the same color combo because I made use of some flowers that didn't make the cut!)  The Blooming with Kindness stamp set is such an easy set to use and it has sentiments in a beautiful font.  If I were starting out stamping, this is the set I would pick!

My card was inspired by this card by Kay Kalthoff.  I inked up the flower with Pool Party ink  then wiped the ink off the stem and used a Soft Suede marker to color it.  Lastly, I took a sponge dauber and sponged Island Indigo ink around the edge of the flower and just a touch in the center.  It's super quick and easy but so pretty.

I was a little OCD with the butterfly.  I tried a piece of Pool Party card stock, but it didn't look right.  DSP didn't look right.  So, I swirled some Island Indigo ink on some Whisper White CS with my sponge dauber.  I picked an area that was "shaded" and used it for my butterfly.  I like the soft look of it.
