CAS(E) this Sketch #34 & CCC #02

Thought I would give this sketch challenge a try.  Be sure to go check out the other designs and play along at CAS(E) this Sketch!

My card didn't work out to have a "definite" embellishment on the side of the greeting.  I interpreted it slightly differently with my bow that is set to the side instead of in the center.

I've also entered this card in the Catherine & Cathy Create Challenge #002.  Be sure to check out this new challenge blog!

The Birthday Basics DSP is so much fun to work with!  Festive images and bright colors lead to easy birthday cards.  I used a phrase from the "Really Good Greetings" stamp set as my focal point.  I tried coloring the stamp with markers, but the colors looked too murky.  That led to using stamp pads to stamp a couple of extra phrases in different colors and then cutting out the showcase words.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
Really Good Greetings

Paper:
Raspberry Ripple CS
     4-1/4x11 Card Base
Bermuda Bay CS
     3-3/4x5 Embossed Layer
Summer Starfruit CS
     3-3/4x2-1/2 Layer
Gumball Green CS
     3-3/4x1 Ric Rac
Very Vanilla CS
     2-1/2x3-1/2 Greeting
Birthday Basics DSP
     3-3/4x1-3/4 Candle Layer
Ink:
Raspberry Ripple Stamp Pad
Gumball Green Stamp Pad
Bermuda Bay Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Chalk Talk Framelits
Linen Thread
Finishing Touches Edgelit
Tasteful Trim Die
Honeycomb Embossing Folder
Linen Thread
