My First Starburst Card

My best friend's birthday was last week, so I wanted to make a special card for her.  I've been thinking about trying the starburst technique for awhile.  I came across this video by Dawn Olchefske and decided to give it a go.  It was very fun and easy to make.  The hardest part was deciding which paper designs to use.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
Express Yourself (Hostess)

Paper:
Wisteria Wonder CS
     8-1/2x5-1/2 Card Base
Crushed Curry CS
     3-7/8x5-1/8 Large Layer
Pear Pizzazz CS
     3-3/4x5/8 Strip
Naturals Ivory CS
     3-3/4x5 Large Layer
Very Vanilla CS
     3-3/4x3-1/2 Backing for Starburst
Afternoon Picnic DSP
     (3) x 1-1/2x4 for Starburst (plus a little extra for the ends)
     Scraps for Flowers

Ink:
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Pansy Punch
Square Lattice Embossing Folder
Crochet Trim
Linen Thread
Very Vintage Buttons
Dimensionals

Have a great weekend,
Beth

  1. I love your color combo and I love Dawn's too. The two of you have had the best starbursts I have seen so far. Your color combos from your papers are great, as was Dawn's in the video. Thanks for sharing and I will have to try this one!
