The Open Sea CASE

It's card buffet week!  That means I'll get to spend time with 30 awesome ladies doing what I love to do...sharing the joy of crafting.  It also means I don't have a lot of time.

Since my father-in-law's birthday is right around the corner, I needed some help coming up with a card.  I found this great card by Julie at Kewlstamps and knew it was the one!  Plus, she has a video (and dimensions) which made it so easy to reproduce.  Thank you, Julie!

I changed a couple of things just a tiny bit...not because there was anything wrong with her card.  It was perfect just like it was.  However, even when I CASE I like to try to change up something to make it at least a little my own.  As you can see, I changed the colors.  I also made the Whisper White piece that the main image is stamped on slightly smaller than Julie's.  I also sponged the edges of the white piece with Crumb Cake ink.  I used the Crumb Cake ink to stamp the journal image, but I stamped it off twice before stamping on my paper.  The compass image is full strength Crumb Cake.  You can tell the difference between the two more in person.

Here's everything I used:
