Simple Oval Birthday

This is what I would consider a "clean and simple" card.  The flowers are from the Too Kind stamp set.  It's a very easy two-step stamp set to use.  The shape of the flower layers are a bit random, so you don't have to line the stamps up "exactly" right for it to look good.

Note that the greeting is heat embossed.  The oval and the large layer are popped up with dimensionals.  Cut your dimensionals in half so they'll go farther for large pieces.  Also, be sure to do your paper piercing before you attach the oval to the card.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:

Paper:
Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock
     4-1/4x11 Card Base
     3-3/4x5 Large Layer
Whisper White Card Stock
     2-3/4x4-1/4 Oval

Ink:
Strawberry Slush Stamp Pad
Crisp Cantaloupe Stamp Pad
Pistachio Pudding Stamp Pad
Whisper White Craft Pad

Accessories:
Ovals Collection Framelits
Whisper White Baker's Twine
Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack
Paper Piercer & Stampin' Pierce Mat
White Embossing Powder
Embossing Buddy & Heat Tool
Stampin' Dimensionals
Glue Dots (Bow)
Corner Chomper

Thanks for stopping by,
Beth

  1. Really beautiful card! Love the soft yet rich colors and the monochromatic layering, but the details steal the show. Thanks for the inspiration.
