It's going to be a good day. In just a bit I'm going to my upline's house for a new catalog kickoff event. The good news is that I get to be the stamping student which is rare because I'm usually planning and preparing. The bad news is that my pocket book will probably be lighter by tomorrow because she always has cute projects using something I don't have yet.
Now to the card...this one can't get much more simple. I cut into my new Confetti Celebration DSP and let the paper be the star of the card. Originally, I had placed a gray mat behind the birthday greeting, but it just didn't feel right. It seemed to make the card feel a bit dated for some reason. So, even though sometimes it's hard to do, I went with the less is more theory.
The ribbon is tied through both the greeting panel and the card. I laid the greeting panel on top of the card and use my crop-a-dile to punch through both. Then, I adhered the greeting panel to the card with dimensionals, threaded the ribbon through both and tied a knot. Simple!
I'm really enjoying the new photopolymer stamp sets like Age Awareness. It's so easy to align the words because you can see what you're doing. Just keep a paper towel close by to wipe the ink off the edges of your clear block before you stamp. You want to be sure you don't accidentally get any stray ink on your creation.
Here's everything I used:
Bermuda Bay Card Stock
5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
Whisper White Card Stock
Confetti Celebration DSP
3-1/2x4-1/4 Patterned Layer
Bermuda Bay Stamp Pad
Tangelo Twist Stitched Satin Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by,
