Dahlia Birthday

This particular diagonal DSP from the Sweet Taffy DSP pack has been on my mind for a couple of days.  I guess that meant I needed to make a card with it, so I took the hint and paired it with the beautiful Regarding Dahlias stamp set.  If you like clean and simple cards, this is a great set to have.

I thought about adding a layer of black card stock behind the main image but decided against it.  I'm just really in a "clean and simple" mood these days.  Sometimes less really is more.

The stamped paper is popped up off of the card with dimensionals to give the card some extra interest.  I like to use several dimensionals on a piece this large, so I cut them in half.

Here's everything I used:

Stamps:
Regarding Dahlias
Made for You (sadly, retired)

Paper:
Daffodil Delight Card Stock
     4-1/4x11 Card Base
Whisper White Card Stock
     2-1/2x3-3/4 Main Image
Sweet Taffy DSP
     3-3/4x5 Patterned Layer

Ink:
Daffodil Delight Stamp Pad
Tuxedo Black Memento Stamp Pad

Accessories:
Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon
Stampin' Dimensionals
Glue Dot (behind knot)

Thanks for stopping by,
Beth
