Polka Dot Pieces Birthday

The Polka Dot Pieces stamp set was on my "maybe" wishlist last year...but it got moved to the top of the "must have" list this year.  Don't ask me why, but it just really stood out to me this year.  Maybe I've been a tad influenced by all of the great samples on Pinterest. Or, maybe I just can't resist a cute stamp set that coordinates with 7 - yes 7 - punches!
I decided to break out the new In Colors with this card.  The patterned paper is from the Moonlight DSP Stack.  Especially with the smaller paper stacks, you don't realize just how many options you have until you see them in person.  This little pack of paper is loaded with designs.  Most of them tend to be a bit geometric which makes them perfect backgrounds.
To make the frame, I started with a piece of 3x3 card stock.  I then cut a square out of the center using one of the Squares Collection Framelits.  It's popped up with dimensionals (cut them in half so they don't show from underneath).  I also found it easier to lay the frame upside down and place the Whisper White card stock on top rather than vice versa.  I "carefully" stamped the greeting after the two pieces were adhered.
One more usual, I adhered the patterned paper to a piece of Whisper White card stock so I could wrap the ends of my ribbon underneath.
Here's everything I used:
