Butterfly Note Cards

I've had these Crumb Cake Note Cards for quite awhile and haven't been able to come up with a design I really like until this one.  I used the new Butterfly Basics stamp set and coordinating Butterfly thinlits.  "Collage" stamping doesn't come easy for me.  The more I added the worse it looked, so I decided to keep it simple.  For me, it's all about knowing when to say when!

I used a piece of wax paper between my card stock and thinlit for the larger butterfly.  Worked like a charm! There were a few small pieces that didn't fall out on their own, but it only took a couple of seconds to remove them with my paper piercer because everything was cut really well.

Here's everything I used:

Paper Dimensions:
Crumb Cake Note Cards
Pre-cut and scored to 5x3-1/2 inches
Blackberry Bliss Card Stock
     3-1/2x2-3/4 Large Butterfly
Crumb Cake Card Stock
     2-1/2x1-3/4 Small Butterfly
Champagne Glimmer Paper
     Scrap for Center

  1. This is simply gorgeous, Beth! I 'hear' you, about collage stamping ... some people do it so effortlessly, but I tend to make a terrible mess of it!
