Lovely As A Tree

It's been awhile since I posted...a long time actually.  Life has been a bit crazy for the last few months and when I felt like stamping, I didn't have time.  When I had time, I didn't feel like stamping.  Ever been there?  Fortunately, I "made" some time earlier this week to stamp a few of these simple cards.  Once I make a card that I like, I tend to make a few of them to have on hand.

  • Stamp the first sky "swoosh" with full-strength Lost Lagoon and then stamp the "swoosh" below it without re-inking the stamp.
  • Cut a glue dot in half and roll it into a tiny ball to place behind the bow to keep it in place.
Here's what I used:

Lovely As A Tree
Cottage Greetings
Work of Art

Lost Lagoon Card Stock
     5-1/2x8-1/2 Card Base
Pear Pizzazz Card Stock
     5-1/4x4 Large Layer
Whisper White Card Stock
     5x3-3/4 Large Layer

Lost Lagoon Stamp Pad
Pear Pizzazz Stamp Pad
Early Espresso Stamp Pad

Linen Thread
Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by,

  1. Beth, I really like the simplicity of this card. I make several cards for a friend in assisted living & she would love this one. Would you mind if I CASE it and also how did you do the swosh in the sky? Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi, Cherie. Absolutely you can CASE it! I'm flattered. I forgot to list the Work of Art stamp set. It includes the "swoosh" stamp. I'll be sure to add it tomorrow. Thanks again!

    2. thanks so much Beth! I knew I had seen the Swoosh somewhere but couldn't remember! Thanks again!
