Summer Silhouettes Note Cards

Inspiration:   My card was inspired by these note cards by Becky Roberts.  In the end, mine really doesn't look too much like hers except for the greeting.  I'm glad I saw her card on Pinterest because I would have never thought to pull out A Dozen Thoughts that has "just because" in  it.  I love the font!

I had a pretty good system for finding greetings/verses (see this post), but I had gotten behind and it was a hot mess.  Since I was cutting out the greetings and taping them to their "category" page, everything became more messy as I parted with some sets and purchased new ones.  I finally decided to clean it up by making electronic files and then printing them.  I can update the electronic files as my stamp sets come and go and then print the pages.  I'm old fashioned and like to flip through pages to find what I want.

Admittedly, it took me many hours to pull this together, but it will be worth it in the long run.  If you have a really, really large inventory, it might not be feasible to do this.  Why not start from this point going forward?  That perfect "think of you" greeting may be hiding in a floral set!

Note that I am still cutting/pasting the copies of the fronts of my stamp cases into my book as per my original post.  If I get rid of a set, I mark it with a big "x"until I get a new set that can be taped over it.

  • I use my MISTI to make multiples of note cards.  I enjoy making one-layer note cards and include five per pack. They make great gifts.
