Bloomin' Hearts Valentine's Day Card

It feels a little strange posting a Valentine's Day card on New Year's Eve, but I hope you won't mind. :)  Do you have any New Year's resolutions?  I'm not sure I would call mine "resolutions," but there are plenty of areas for improvement that I'm going to try to work on in 2016.  One of those is making more cards...and sharing them with you.

Inspiration:  There are several beautiful cards on the Internet using the new Bloomin' Hearts thinlits.  They definitely helped inspire this card.

Tips:
  • It's really great when new products live up to your expectations...and that's how I feel about the Precision Base Plate and the Big Shot Brush.  These two tools make die-cutting this intricate heart a breeze.  You may need to run the heart through a couple of times, but it's so much easier than with just the cutting plates.
  • I used Tombow glue to adhere the heart.  I added a couple of tiny drops under the larger solid areas. I really like the "loose" edges...gives it more interest.
  • The flowers are popped up with dimensionals.
  • Do you have the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set in your collection?  If not, you should probably put it on your wishlist.  It works great with the Bitty Banners framelits.  Since all of the greetings are basically the same size, you could easily make this an anniversary card, friendship card, Mother's Day card, etc.
