It's My Party Birthday

Inspiration:  This card I discovered on Pinterest.  It's a beautiful clean and simple card.  Mine's definitely a lot bolder. ;)

Tips:
  • Use a piece of thick Whisper White behind the DSP to give it more weight so the twine can't be wrapped behind it.
  • Use a little be of Dotto to adhere the DSP and piece of thick Whisper White together to cut the large circle out of both at the same time.  That way, you know they'll line up perfectly when you adhere them together.
  • Stamp the cake with Basic Black archival ink and emboss with clear embossing powder. Remember to rub your embossing buddy over the card stock first.  I used a blender pen and ink from the lids of stamp pads to color the cake.
  • The cake is popped up with dimensionals. I used Dazzling Diamonds on the cake instead of Wink of Stella because I wanted the texture of the glitter on this particular card.
  • I used the large circle framelit and the smaller one together to create the yellow circle "frame."
