CASE'd Birthday Card

Inspiration:  I came across this card by Katina and knew it was one I wanted to case. What a great way to use patterned paper, and it's so simple to make!  I changed mine up slightly by choosing a different paper and color scheme.  Unfortunately, this paper has retired, but I'm sure you can find something in your stash to use for a similar card.  Or, we have lots of beautiful new DSP from which to choose!

  • The greeting layer is popped up with dimensionals  I also used Thick Whisper White card stock so it would be a little sturdier.
  • Sometimes you'll have some tiny pieces of paper (looks like loose hairs) around the edges of your die cut pieces.  I remove them by running my paper piercing tool around the edges.
  • The center of of the flower is a punched piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  I adhered it with a glue dot.
  • I used my Precision Base Plate when I die cut the flowers and the Big Shot Die Brush. Both of these tools really do make using intricate thinlits much easier.  Here's a very helpful video that reviews which platforms and plates to use when die cutting and embossing:
