March 2016 Paper Pumpkin Alternate Project

Inspiration:  I used leftovers from the March Paper Pumpkin Kit to make this card.  The patterned paper was actually an envelope for one of the cards in the kit.  There was no way I was going to use this pretty paper for an envelope!

Tips:
  • I decided to use Thick Whisper White Card Stock for the butterfly because the tips of the wings are so small and get bent easily.  The Thick Whisper White hold its shape better.
  • The center of the butterfly is (3) 1/8 inch circles punched from Silver Glimmer Paper.  It's a great way to add some sparkle that's inexpensive and very "mailable."  I applied a tiny bit of multipurpose glue to the center of the butterfly and then added the circles.
  • The center of the butterfly is glued to the white circle, but the top part of the wings have half a dimensional behind them.  The greeting is also adhere with dimensionals.
