New Stitched Shapes Framelits

Inspiration:  Necessity is often the "inspiration" for my cards. LOL  This is a card for my uncle.  I love making cards for everyone, but especially for those who really enjoy receiving them - and he's one of those people.  I used the new Stitched Shapes Framelits along with the classic stamp set, Lovely As A Tree.

  • The small circle and largest circle were made with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, and I used the Layering Circles Framelits to create the middle circle.
  • The middle circle has Stampin' Dimensionals behind it.  The small and large circles are adhered with glue. The greeting is adhered with dimensionals.
  • Since the Woodgrain Embossing Folder is so detailed, it tends to shrink the finished size a little.  To make sure I get the exact size I want (yes, I'm left-brained), I start with a piece of card stock just a little larger than what I need then cut it down after embossing it.
  • The finished length of the banner is 4-1/2 inches.  Start with a piece of paper that's 2x4-3/4 inches.  I used a piece of paper from the retired Botanical Gardens DSP.  I didn't really care for that particular pattern to begin with, but now I'm glad I held onto it anyway.
