Butterflies Take Flight CCREW117INSP

Inspiration:  This is another card I made for the SCS January Creative Crew challenge the theme of which is "Take Flight."  We were challenged to create a card inspired by photos provided.  I chose this photo as my inspiration.  Please visit the Creative Crew gallery to see all of the design team cards.

Tips:
  • Cut out butterflies from the Blooms & Bliss DSP using the small butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits Dies. Cut the detailed butterflies using the small butterfly from the Bold Butterflies Framelits.  (Hold onto those butterflies you cut out because I'm going to show you how I used mine it my next post.)
  • The detailed butterflies are attached with a little multipurpose glue behind the body.
  • The flower centers of the butterflies were made with the Tree Builder Punch. I used the Cupcake Builder punch for the Dazzling Diamonds centers.  Glimmer paper is a great alternative to pearls and rhinestones...less bulk for mailing and less expensive.
  • The greeting was cut using the smallest Lots of Labels framelit and is attached to a 3/4" circle.
